Vasa Mihich is a renowned Los Angeles based artist known for his sleek, colorful and captivating acrylic sculptures. He was a Senior Professor of Design at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he taught color theory.
For nearly 50 years he has been working in acrylics, either on canvas or through sculpture.
This dynamic color shifting triangle is a paradigm of Mihich's mastery of acrylic. Like the best of his work, different colors will emerge, overlap or recede depending on how you position and light the sculpture.
His mastery of the suspended "ombré" effect is evident, as shades of lime green, aqua, canary yellow and candied-grapefruit pink seamlessly merge into each other.
